FAQ

A college counselor will typically focus on which classes you should take to meet the requirements for a specific major. You will get limited time on their calendar (usually 15-20 mins). If your college has a career center, take advantage of the opportunity, however, their time is also limited per student so have detailed questions prepared. A career coach will help you think through what type of career will be a good fit for you based on your interests, skills, preferences and strengths. They can spend focused one-on-one time really listening and asking good questions about who you are and what you want in a career to help you determine a good fit.
-
A career coach will help you think through what type of career will be a good fit for you based on your interests, skills, preferences, and talents and help you write a resume to get that specific role. A recruiter and/or an HR specialist will expect you to now what role or type of job you want. They will then help you write resumes & cover letters, find actual job openings and they may help you get in contact with specific companies or contacts depending on their services.
